"Imagine dreaming of something your entire life and that dream be actualized. Imagine doubting your dream and praying for God to show you what you're supposed to be doing... AND THEN HE DOES! He shows you, you are destined to shine in this world. Shine a light of joy, creativity, peace, love, faith, and even a bit of curiosity and suspicion..."
That is an excerpt from my journal entry on April 22, 2014. I had just walked into my trailer on the set of "Under the Dome". This entry resonates with me in this moment because the episode of "Satisfaction" I was in just aired on USA and the episode of "Under the Dome" aired last week. I'm in a space of gratitude. I'm so humbled by the love and support shown by all of my family and friends. Surreal... these past few months have been nothing short of surreal...
We all have dreams for ourselves as children. Often times we get so caught up in "life" and the expectations of others that we lose sight of the person we imagined ourselves being when we were children. I feared for a while I was losing sight of my dream. I was willing to give it all up... I was willing to quit. But quitting is too easy. Surrendering to fear is too easy. Every victory, whether big or small, has shown me that this is exactly what I am supposed to be doing. Art is my destiny. Acting, photography, writing, dance, painting or any other form of art is exactly what I am meant to do. I hope this blog will enable me to share my journey with you, share words of encouragement and share whatever other thoughts might be fitting in this journey of ours.
Thank you all for all of your support!!
